The Conceal Response feature allows administrators to keep specific information in submissions hidden from specific team members. When enabled, the submitter’s name, email address, file names, and SSN/ITIN information will be hidden from reviewers at or below the team member level specified by an administrator. Administrators can also designate specific form fields for concealed review when building forms.
Set up Project Data Concealment
In a project, go to the Notifications tab:
Move the Conceal Project Data slider to Concealed to enable data concealment for the project. When enabled, responses to questions marked "Conceal Response" and any identifying submitter information will be hidden. A field titled Roles Authorized to View Concealed data will also be added:
Select the roles that will be authorized to see concealed data:
Then decide if the questions with concealed data should be shown to reviewers:
By default, questions marked "Conceal Response" will be shown to reviewers based on the roles you've authorized, and their answers will be replaced with the text [Concealed]. Enable this setting to exclude these questions and answers entirely from reviewers.
Lifecycle Concealment
Move the slider to Lifecycle Concealment to keep concealed responses and submitter information hidden throughout the entire submission lifecycle, including after terminal statuses have been applied (Accepted, Withdrawn, Declined, or Completed):
Click Save Project to save your changes.
Set up Concealed Review in Forms
Go to Forms and open the form where you'd like to conceal certain information.
Click on a form field to show the Field Options at the bottom. All fields except the Submission Name field have a Conceal Response checkbox. Selecting this option will hide the information submitted in that field from reviewers as specified in the settings above:
When a submission is set up for concealed reviews, reviewers from whom the data is concealed will see [Concealed] under the Submitter column in the Submissions List.
When viewing the submission from the Submission Details page, any concealed responses will show as [Concealed] instead of showing the submitter's response:
If you are using the Require Address feature, submitter mailing addresses will also be hidden from any concealed-level reviewers by default.
